Has anyone ever been to a Virgil clinic out there?
What was it like and how many people showed up?

Yes a few times and one clinic was about 1000 people and the other about 200. It was Amazing and Stunning at the same time. The one clinic where there was about 1000 people there were actually a number of people shocked and even a few people upset. They felt like they were showed up and could not handle it. You can be motivated by it or discouraged by it,I beleive most are inspired and motivated to practice and explore on a different level.

I saw Virgil in clinic in 2001. I heard a lot of talk about him, but that was the first time I ever saw or heard him play. His performance absolutely stunned me. I've seen him a few times live since then. My advice is to see him any chance you get, but I think drummers can really get a lot out of his clinics in particular. I always feel really inspired to practice after seeing him play live.

I saw Virgil play at a drum clinic a few weeks ago. He has incredible technique so I think you would enjoy seeing him play. After seeing him at the clinic, I was inspired to practice more with my feet. Thanks to many helpful suggestions by HODers regarding bass drum technique a few weeks ago and being inspired by Virgil's foot control, my feet have improved. It is definitely worth your time to see him play at a clinic.
